Spending 2 much money on beauty supplies! Help!?
Topic: Spending 2 much money on beauty supplies! Help!?
January 19, 2020 / By Booker Question:
Ok, I spend so much money on beauty supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, hair treatments, makeup. I feel like I can't get enough of stuff, to make myself look better but yet I know that none of the stuff I get is going to help me look any better. It's like every time I go into Wal Mart or anywhere I have to buy stuff even though I don't need it. I have so much beauty stuff in my room. What can I do to help keep my spending and urge to purchase this under control? Please help!

Here are tips to avoid buying what you don't need:
-shampoo (try a mosturizing one so you don't need to buy conditioner)
-mascara (if you have long lashes, you really don't need to put weird clumps in your eyes)
-blush (if you have pale skin, this is not necessary)
-bronzer (this is only good for winter months because that is when there is lesser sun, and if you have tan skin you don't need this)
-eye shadow (only get colours that match your eyes)
-foundation (great for uneven skin tones but this problem can be solved by using toner after washing your face)
-mousse (you can live without it if you already have hair spray)
-lipstick (either buy this or coloured lip gloss, not both and buy colours that match your lips)
That's all I can think of right now. Remember these products aren't really needed to look beautiful. Good Luck!

I lived for 6 months in Italy for a grand total of 4500 US dlls, but I was but really really frugal. For a week however, mmm, I'd say $200 for food would be adequate, but not many restaurants...$400 if you plan on restuarnts. *Note that Italian eat their meals in 3 courses...pasta, then a meat, and then a dessert or fruit...and they charge spearately for each course. Jus be aware and check into prices.
For souvenirs, it depends on how much you ant to bring back/ how many people you're buying for. A T-shirt will run between 5-10 Euro, a scarf roughly 5 Euro. Purses vary by quality of the leather. Street Vendors will occaisonally be willing to lower prices if you tell them you dont have that amount of money, but they might equally be willing to cut off the deal, so be shrewed in your business dealing :)
Main thing is to enjoy yourself...There's no way to see it all in a week or a semester, so just go and do what you can! Have fun with it!
I think most people have this problem that's why the beauty industry makes over 2 billion dollars a year. I was just like you. I have been researching products for over 20 years now and have a lot of experience in this field. I think the main problem lies in the marketing of these products to lure you in. I will not put down any products but I do have to say every product works different on each person. Now, depending what your looking for, you say you go to walmart and etc. Try Longs they have a return policy if it doesn't work out for you, as well as major dept. stores. Nordstrom has a great return policy. I would advice you to spend a little more on something you really need and like, and you will not want to buy anything less. There are actually a lot of products that will help you look your best if you find a product that works for your hair type or skin type. If you want e-mail me with what your trying to achieve and I will try and steer you in the correct direction. Believe me, I've tried it all.

Write up a routine for your hair. Shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer. Try to find out what really is good for your hair, if it helping or damaging it. Use what you have and don't walk in that section anymore. longhaircare.com

Why don't you leave your wallet at home if you weren't planning on buying something? And remember you are beautiful in you own way. No product can change that.

Maybe their employer is Satan and placing these dumb ads should make all of our enemies happy.
We have our backs against the wall, but we are not defeated. The solution to our problems is staring us in our faces and we simply have not seen it nor recognized it.
During the Black Plague in Western Europe, after millions died from the deadly plague, simple apple cider vinegar provided the cure. Penicillin was found in mold on bread. Those discoveries solved problems for mankind that were much worse than our current economic plights. There is a God and it is time for us to look for our answers, with faith.
