In to kill a mockingbird, the mockingbird is the symbol of innocence. Like miss. Maudie says they don't do anything but sing their hearts out for the world to enjoy. Which relates to the innocence of Tom Robinson and it's being killed, the killing of the childhood innocence of Scout, Jem and Dill, and the killing of Boo Radley's innocence because the town is so cruel to him even though he is just a good person and saves Jem and Scout's lives.

A mokingbird is symbolic of something innocent, something that does no one harm. They relate to arthur Radley in a way that he does nobody harm. therefor it would also be a sin to harm him.
The title is VERY famous and realates to many others in the book. mayella, maudie, and even the cunninghams.

For quotes you could try the Internet, but the exact page number will depend on which edition of the book you have. Your teacher has probably asked for page numbers to stop you just cribbing stuff from the Internet.
Good hunting.

Spark Notes is a great site if you're in a jam, but your teacher has probably read it so be carful with how much you take.
