It's not about "Hope".. It's about celebrating being "Grateful" that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for us, sinners and save us from the wrath we deserve. Look at it like this.. 'A legal transaction took place' We broke God's Law & Jesus paid our fine in His life's blood. This way we can walk out of the courtroom on our day of Judgement because another paid our fine. So just like a person who is dying that got hit by a car... the phone call to the ambulence doesn't save the person.. but the doctor in the ambulence does. The same way repenting & trusting does not save us.. it's only by the blood of Jesus. We still must repent & trust in Jesus as a response to the opportunity He has given us. I worked in a shelter and the sick kittens where always put to sleep and that is want will happen to this one, too. It has two things really going against, the first is that she is sick, and the second is that she was returned to the shelter if you should decide to return her. Did the Vet do any blood work? Sometimes antibiotics are resistant to certain infections and if this is the case then you could give her the antibiotic until you are blue in the face and the infection would never get better. Most likely that poor kitten was sick when you adopted her, but returning her because of that is almost certain death for her. With the right medication and a lot of love and patience she should make a full recovery. Another thing you might be able to do is get your vet to sign a letter stating that this kitty was sick when you adopted her and you might be able to take them to court and get some of the cost back. It all depends on the state you live in and any papers you might have signed when you adopted your kitten. You already have 21/2 weeks invested in this little one. Why not just keep her, after all you picked her out for a reason, maybe it was to keep her from being put to sleep. I would keep her if it were me, because after 2 1/2 weeks she has already stolen my heart and is a part of my family. Also the illness she has is VERY treatable. I wish you the very best of luck.

If you return her to the shelter, they will euthanize her. Her URI is very contagious -- she probably caught it at the shelter because it can be spread even before a cat shows symptoms. I would keep the kitten and try to get her through this illness. All her symptoms -- diarrhea, respiratory problems, and conjunctivitis -- are caused by the same illness, or the diarrhea may be a side-effect of the medication she is on. Even with vet care and the right medicines, it can take two weeks to a month to clear it up. This is not a chronic illness, so you will not be saddled with another terminally sick cat. You have already invested a lot of money in her and bought the medicine. All you need to do now is give her good supportive care and the medicines. If you take her back, it is the end of her.

I would say it enforces the ability to convey a large scale delusion to children in the form of an imaginary figure that watches over people, judges them, and potentially rewards them if they've been good enough. Santa and Jesus probably hang out together and spy on young children while letting millions of them starve to death in certain countries.

That Santa is chillin with god and they're waiting for you to die so you can help with making the presents.

You should leave him home. Not only would it be overwhelming for him around the crowds of people, but it would be stressful for you too. You also don't want him to pee all over someone else's house. That can be upsetting for the family and embarrassing for you. I'd leave him home. He'll be fine. If you were at work, he'd be left all day too. I wouldn't leave him outside either. Your best bet is if he stays in your bedroom and is comfortable there, to just let him spend the day there. You might want to turn on a radio or a TV so he doesn't feel completely alone.
